We all get bored sometime in our life. The feeling of boredom results from lack of excitement, adventure, or otherwise fun activities. It instills a sense of unrest in the bored person and he does not know what to do. Most people try to get rid of boredom by engaging in activities that kill time. Sometime, they do some activities that excite them. For example, it is common for bored people to go to a restaurant to eat good food or go to see a movie or engage themselves in some activity which engages their mind for sometime till the feeling of boredom disappears. Some people, even take drugs, engage in binge drinking and even go to the prostitutes to get rid of boredom.
An artist must visualize the completed canvas before he can paint it. A novelist must visualize the intricate personalities and relationships of his characters before he can paint a word picture of them. An inventor must be able to visualize a physical object which does not yet exist to solve a problem. An entrepreneur must visualize his economic dream and mentally develop the means of attaining it. Each of these individuals have an innate or developed creative ability that the average person does not have. They see life through “creative” eyes. They make the invisible visible.
“It is better to create than to be learned, creating is the true essence of life” said Barthold Georg Niebuhr. Creatively is indeed the greatest gift to the mankind. A man is different from all animals only because of his creativity. Even within men, it is the creativity that distinguishes a leader from follower, an entrepreneur from his employee, a writer from his reader and a great from the ordinary.
Creativity is defined as a mental process involving the discovery of new ideas or concepts, or new associations of the existing ideas or concepts, fueled by the process of either conscious or unconscious insight. Creative people are highly respected in the world since without them the human race would have progressed and remained an animal even now. Just observe the world around you and you can see that everything in your sight is an example of creativity. The concept of house, family, marriage, Television, Phones, Internet, Mobile phones, fans, cars, airplanes and millions of things and concepts like that had been created by some human mind. You can easily imagine that before many million years, none of these things have existed. Yet most of these things have been discovered in last few centuries when the explosion of ideas had really started due to interaction of the creative minds.
