Reborning dolls is such a fascinating and beautiful hobby, the calm it instils in the artist is almost a form of meditation, something so unique only those within the craft can truly appreciate what I mean. Reborning was a hobby recommended to me around 4 years ago, I had a friend that had come across lifelike reborn dolls at a recent doll and bear show, the enthusiasm she took with her just from viewing these dolls really was something life changing. With her encouragement, I purchased my first kit from an online seller in the United Kingdom. Sourcing the supplies to make these dolls was quite difficult at that stage, thankfully demand has grown and Australian sellers are now establishing themselves all over the country. I place a high value on my time, so it was always going to be important that it was taken up with something that had a positive effect on my quality of life. Working long hours has consumed me for so many years, it really was time to leap and make the changes for a quality of life that now exceeds my wildest dreams. Reborning is a complex, highly skilled artform, yet something anyone can do, you will require patience, time and most of all attention to detail when creating your lifelike babies.
Creativity is a world of vastness. We often look in wonder at others creativity as they are the “special” ones. Yet, you are just as special in your own way and creativeness. You are the only YOU! There has never been or will be another you! Take a step back and ponder that thought–YOU, yes YOU, stand alone in your own uniqueness in all of time.
